Reviews and Ratings
My stay at Sofitel Chengdu Taihe was fantastic! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a separate lounge area and great bathroom. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff making sure I had everything I needed. The location was excellent, overlooking the river and offering easy access to the heart of the business district. The dining experience was varied, but some improvements could be made. Overall, a great hotel to immerse yourself in Chinese culture.
The hotel offers spacious and neat rooms with a nice design, although showing signs of age. The service is exceptional, with delightful personal touches to enhance the stay. The location is convenient for exploring the city but lacks cleanliness. The dining options are varied, leaning towards Chinese cuisine.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms definitely needed renovation, but they were spacious and had separate lounge and desk areas. The large bathroom and additional toilet were a plus. The service was a bit hit or miss; while most staff were courteous and helpful, there were issues with communication in English. The location was great, near the business district and with a lovely view of the river, but tourist info was lacking. The dining options catered to various tastes but were not particularly exciting. The facilities were adequate but lacked excitement.
After spending 6 days with the air conditioning malfunctioning in room 1910, we decided to move to room 1610. The rooms were in urgent need of renovation and had a persistent humid smell. Unfortunately, the temperature was uncomfortably hot no matter how we adjusted the thermostat.
The hotel's rooms were spacious and well-organized, with clear fire escape diagrams available, but a downside was the absence of spoons or stirrers provided. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to make the stay special, although there were some language limitations. The location was convenient, being in the city center with easy access to main tourist attractions, but the one-way road layout could be challenging. The dining experience offered fantastic options, especially for Western tastes. Overall, a great stay with a few minor drawbacks worth considering.
