Chengdu Taihe International Hotel, Chengdu

My stay at Sofitel Chengdu Taihe was fantastic! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a separate lounge area and great bathroom. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff making sure I had everything I needed. The location was excellent, overlooking the river and offering easy access to the heart of the business district. The dining experience was varied, but some improvements could be made. Overall, a great hotel to immerse yourself in Chinese culture.

After spending 6 days with the air conditioning malfunctioning in room 1910, we decided to move to room 1610. The rooms were in urgent need of renovation and had a persistent humid smell. Unfortunately, the temperature was uncomfortably hot no matter how we adjusted the thermostat.

The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to make the stay special, although there were some language limitations.
